Pan Jiahua is Professor of Economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Executive Director of the Research Centre for Sustainable Development in Beijing.

He is an influential adviser to the Chinese government on issues of sustainability and climate.

Currently is working principally as a mediator between North and South in the faltering negotiations for the post-Kyoto agreement.

Pan Jiahua has authored numerous studies and working papers on sustainable development in China, on restructuring the Chinese economy to make it a LOW CARBON ECONOMY, and on trade strategies between China and the West for important international treaties.
