Tim Jackson is professor of environmental strategy at the University of Surrey in England.
He was the first professor of sustainability in Britain and until 2011 advised the British government on sustainability.
In 2009 he published the book PROSPERITY WITHOUT GROWTH, in which he argues that not even a “green” economy can be stable or sustainable if it’s based on relentless consumer demand.
He is developing a new model for an alternative economic system.
He is calling on the academic world to carry out more research in this field.
His book received international acclaim.
